Wilpattu is the largest and oldest national park in Sri Lanka. It is approximately 180km north of Colombo and about 114 km from the resort. More than sixty lakes and reservoirs are found spread throughout Wilpattu. This park is world-renowned for its leopard (now an endangered species), and numerous species of colorful birds.
